The end of the summer, and the changing of the seasons means New York is about to enter into its most beloved season. Sun tans may start fading from this point on, but that means we get to break out all things Autumn! Apple cider, warm donuts, pumpkin picking, and watching the leaves change - what’s not to love! And on top of all that.. we get to end the month with our favorite holiday of all! Start thinking about your costumes now, because Halloween in New York City is no joke!

Haunted Lantern Tour at Fort Totten Park

Leave your fears at home this Halloween weekend, as the Urban Park Rangers lead your family through the “haunted” Water Battery at Fort Totten Park. This year’s lantern-lit tour will take you to explore the creepy Water Battery Gate in the pitch-black while your guide shares spook–inducing stories about the ghost-infested grounds. This event blurs the line between history and Halloween which is, after all, our favorite kind. Participants must arrive no later than 8:00 p.m. for guaranteed admittance.
